New Delhi: A sudden increase in Turkish military transport aircraft activity in Pakistan has triggered speculation among defence observers over whether Ankara could be providing additional military support to Islamabad after Operation Sindoor. However, the exact nature of the flights and any possible cargo remains unconfirmed.
According to open-source flight tracking data cited by defence analysts, Turkish Air Force transport aircraft, including C-130 Hercules and A400M aircraft, were observed operating between August 19 and 21, landing at key Pakistani military facilities such as Nur Khan, Masroor and Murid air bases.
The unusual movement of military transport aircraft has raised questions over whether the flights were related to routine logistics or involved the transfer of military equipment.
Defence observers have suggested that the aircraft could potentially be linked to supplies involving unmanned aerial systems, defence equipment or other military assets. However, neither Turkey nor Pakistan has officially confirmed details about the purpose of these flights or the nature of any material transported.
