Fadnavis, US Envoy Discuss Expanding Trade and Business Ties
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with US Ambassador Sergio Gor at his official residence in Mumbai on Saturday. Consul General Michael Schreuder was also present. The main objective of the meeting was to promote US investment in the state and strengthen India-US trade relations.
Fadnavis stated on the social media platform 'X' that both sides discussed increasing US investment in Maharashtra and expanding the presence of Maharashtra-based companies in the US market. The meeting also discussed promoting the state's key and strategic initiatives in the US.

The Chief Minister briefed the US delegation on the Navi Mumbai International Education City and other key initiatives in the state. He explained that these projects offer attractive opportunities for investors and businesses and will strengthen Maharashtra economically.

Meanwhile in another social media post, Fadnavis said he left for Davos on Sunday to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting. He also said he would strive to establish the state as India's "growth engine" globally. The Chief Minister will remain at the event until January 24.
