Air travel has also been affected due to the heavy rains. SpiceJet and IndiGo Airlines have advised passengers to check traffic information to and from the airport in advance. Both airlines have warned of traffic delays and have instructed passengers to regularly update their flight status.

The IMD has stated that the rainy season may continue until September 30th. An orange alert was issued for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad on Monday evening, while a yellow alert was issued for Tuesday and Wednesday.
