According to a report in Beijing Daily, a 75-year-old man named Jiang came across an AI-generated girl while scrolling through social media. People familiar with digital avatars could understand at first glance that this face was fake, but for Jiang she was a beautiful, cheerful and likable girl.

Even though her lips and voice did not match, Jiang did not care. Gradually, he became crazy about this AI avatar and started waiting for her every day sitting near the phone. The biggest happiness in his life now was the same few words of messages that flashed on the screen.

After a lot of persuasion from family members, he came out of the illusion

The problem increased when Jiang's wife repeatedly rebuked him that he was wasting too much time on the phone. But Jiang, blinded by love, clearly told his life partner of several decades that now he only wants to live with his virtual girlfriend and wants to divorce her and be free. Hearing this, the family and children were shocked. With great difficulty, they explained to Jiang that this girl is not real but a fake face created by the computer. Later, Jiang slowly started believing and he came out of this illusion.
