Aligarh: If everything goes well, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will start operating between Aligarh and Mumbai from July. This train will complete the journey from Bareilly-Aligarh to Mumbai via Agra in just 10 hours. The journey of the passengers will not only be very comfortable but will also save time.

Railways has also started speed trials. The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will run at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour. Vande Bharat Sleeper will have 16 coaches, which will include AC-3-tier, AC-2-tier, and AC first-class coaches. The capacity of passengers will be 823.
Journey from Aligarh to Mumbai
At present, the train runs once a week to go from Aligarh to Mumbai. There is so much pressure of passengers on the Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak-Bareilly Express train that seats have to be reserved at least two months in advance. Keeping in mind the demand of the people of the region, the Railways has decided to run Sleeper Vande Bharat.

North Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Shashikant Tripathi said that preparations are underway to run Vande Bharat Express from Bareilly to Mumbai, but the time has not been decided yet. Possibilities of stopping some new trains at Aligarh station are being explored. Railways is trying to provide better passenger facilities. The route of the Sleeper Vande Bharat train starting from Aligarh is also reported to be finalized.
Will run on these routes
After stopping at Bareilly-Chandausi and Aligarh, this train will reach Mumbai via Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, Jalgaon, and Manmad. This journey will be completed in 10 hours. Currently, trains take 16-17 hours to cover the distance of 1350 km from UP to Mumbai.

Aligarh-Mumbai Sleeper Vande Bharat will cover this distance in 10 hours. Sleeper Vande Bharat Express is also proposed between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Indore and Agra and Ayodhya. Trains will start operating as soon as permission is received from the Railway Board. A proposal for the Sleeper Vande Bharat Express from Aligarh to Mumbai via Agra has also been prepared.
