FIR against Pilot Virender Sejwal for ‘assaulting’ passenger Ankit Dewan
New Delhi: Delhi Police has filed an FIR against Air India Express pilot Virendra Sejwal after he was accused of assaulting a passenger at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Pilot has been booked days after Air India Express suspended him.
The Pilot was off duty at the time of incident.
A senior Delhi Police Officer said, “We have registered an FIR under Sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (wrongful restraint), and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.”
Ankit Dewan, the passenger shared a video of the incident on social media which went viral sparking wide spread anger. This alled 'assault' incident happened on Friday when a routine security check was going on at the airport.
