Kerala, Assam, Puducherry Vote Today
Following the voting in Puducherry, former Chief Minister and Congress leader V. Narayanasamy said that the people want change and the mood is in favor of the INDI alliance. He expressed confidence that the alliance will form the government here and appealed to the people to exercise their democratic right by voting in large numbers.
As voting continues in Kerala, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge urged people to elect a government that listens, cares, and delivers. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also urged voters to vote for the UDF. Both leaders raised issues of unemployment, economic distress, and social justice, urging voters to turn out in large numbers.
Kerala Chief Minister and CPI(M) candidate from Dharmadam constituency, Pinarayi Vijayan, cast his vote at booth number 194 at Pinarayi RC Amala Basic UP School in Kannur and appealed to the public to vote.
A unique use of technology is being seen during the voting in Puducherry. A robot named 'Nila' is welcoming voters at a polling booth set up in a government school, becoming a center of attraction.
As voting began in Kerala, Union Minister Suresh Gopi said that today was a crucial day for the state. He claimed that the BJP had conducted a comprehensive and effective campaign in this election, reaching every region and every corner. He said that everyone was now awaiting the results, and that the changes before and after the elections would be clearly visible.
Actor Mohanlal cast his vote at a polling booth in Mudavanmugal, Thiruvananthapuram. LDF candidate from Nemom constituency and state minister V. Sivankutty also participated in the democratic process by voting.

New Delhi: Voting is underway today for the first phase of the assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry. Voting began at 7 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m. Tight security arrangements have been made in all three states to ensure a peaceful voting process. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to voters to vote in large numbers.
Voting is taking place in the first phase for 140 assembly seats in Kerala, 126 in Assam, and 30 in Puducherry. Kerala has a total of 27.1 million voters, including 13.2 million men, 13.9 million women, and 273 transgender voters. 883 candidates are in the fray. The main contest in the state is between the Left-led LDF, the Congress-led UDF, and the BJP-led NDA.
The votes cast in all three states will be counted on May 4th. Only then will it be clear which party has received the mandate.
