Srinagar: The mortal remains of Sabha Rasool, a Kashmiri MBBS student who tragically lost her life in Iran, are being brought back to India on Thursday evening.
According to travel details, the body will be flown on Mahan Air flight W5 071, which is scheduled to take off around 5:00 PM (IST). The flight is expected to land in New Delhi later tonight, after which arrangements have been made to shift the remains to Srinagar by early Friday morning.
Family sources said she will be buried at her ancestral graveyard in Safakadal, Srinagar, where relatives and locals are preparing to pay their last respects. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) National Convenor Nasir Khuehami has urged the administration to step in and ensure proper transport from the airport to her home.
“I appeal to J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Advisor Nasir Sogami to kindly make sure an ambulance and other facilities are arranged at Srinagar Airport tomorrow, so that the body can be shifted with honour to Safakadal,” Khuehami said.
