New Delhi: Delhi-NCR has witnessed a change in weather patterns over the past 24 hours. Light rain and overcast skies prevailed in several areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain today as well.

Dense clouds may cover the sky during the day, potentially causing a slight dimming of daylight. Additionally, strong winds gusting at speeds of approximately 40 kilometers per hour are expected. In terms of temperature, the maximum is forecast to hover around 29°C and the minimum around 19°C, ensuring pleasant weather conditions.

March 28: A Day of Relief

On March 28, the weather is expected to remain relatively calm. While clouds will persist in the sky, there will also be spells of mild sunshine. There will be no significant fluctuation in temperature, offering relief from intense heat. This day is likely to prove comfortable for residents.

March 29: Yellow Alert and Severe Storms

On March 29, the weather is set to take another turn. The Meteorological Department has issued a 'Yellow Alert' for this day. Strong winds—potentially reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour—are expected across the entire NCR region, including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. Accompanying this, there is a likelihood of rain and dust storms.

March 30: Rain Expected to Continue

A possibility of rain has also been forecast for March 30. However, there will not be a significant drop in temperature. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 29°C, with the minimum hovering near 20°C. The weather will remain slightly cool and comfortable.

March 31 and April 1: Overcast Skies, Relief from Heat

On the last day of the month—March 31—there is no forecast for rain, though the sky will remain overcast. Similarly, April 1 is also expected to begin with cloudy skies. Consequently, the heat will not intensify immediately, providing residents with continued relief for a few more days.

Air Quality and Impact

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in several cities across Delhi-NCR currently stands at a 'Moderate' level. Pollution levels may see a slight decline due to the rain and strong winds, leading to an improvement in air quality.

Impact on Other States

According to meteorologists, this weather system—originating in North India—will move eastward to reach Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Consequently, there remains a possibility of rainfall across several states.

Overall, the coming days are expected to bring significant weather-related changes to the Delhi-NCR region. The rain, cool winds, and cloud cover will offer relief from the heat; however, the risk of storms and squalls necessitates remaining vigilant.
