New Delhi: President of Finland Alexander Stubb will undertake a State Visit to India from March 4 to 7 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers, senior officials and business leaders, President Stubb will be the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the 11th Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi. This marks his first visit to India in his current capacity.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and President Stubb will hold comprehensive talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors. The leaders are also expected to exchange views on key regional and global developments and enhance coordination in multilateral forums. The Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honour of the visiting dignitary.
President Stubb will call on President Droupadi Murmu. Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar are also scheduled to meet him.
Following engagements in New Delhi, President Stubb will travel to Mumbai, where he will meet the Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He will interact with leading Indian industry representatives, participate in an India-Finland business event, and address students at the University of Mumbai.
India and Finland share warm and friendly ties grounded in shared democratic values. Finland remains an important partner for India in the European Union and the Nordic region. The visit follows the recent trip of Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo to India for the AI Impact Summit in February 2026, underscoring both nations’ commitment to deepening cooperation across sectors and strengthening people-to-people connections.
