Swami Avimukteshwarananda hits out at Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow: The controversy surrounding Avimukteshwarananda in Uttar Pradesh continues unabated. Now, Avimukteshwarananda has attacked CM Yogi. Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that wearing saffron does not make one a yogi or a saint. Avimukteshwarananda also attacked the Yogi government's police, asking, "Where were your police when I was being tortured?"
Saffron Robes No Sign Of A Yogi
Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that just as wearing white clothes does not make one a leader, wearing military uniform does not make one a member of the army, similarly, wearing saffron robes does not make one a yogi or a saint.
Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that Yogi leaves the entire world behind, but you have returned to the world. Avimukteshwarananda also used several offensive words against the CM.
It is noteworthy that CM Yogi said that not everyone can write the title Shankaracharya. Adi Jagat Guru Shankaracharya established four Peethas, and only those who are worthy will be accepted according to tradition. He strongly stated that no one can go around as an Acharya and spoil the atmosphere.
Violating Decorum Unacceptable
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday broke his silence on the Shankaracharya controversy for the first time in the Assembly. He clarified that violating decorum is unacceptable and that every person is bound by the law.
Speaking on the chaos at the Magh Mela, CM Yogi said that blocking a road in a crowd of 45 million people is irresponsible. He said that the law applies to me as it does to any ordinary person. Can anyone roam around with a board of a minister or SP president? There is a system in place.
