Mandi: Cloudburst disaster creates havoc in the state. Death toll and missing persons data has been increasingly. Death toll rises to 19 while missing people in Mandi district has increased from 34 to 56, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The highest number of 46 people are from Seraj region. Eight people died in Thunag, six in Gohar, one in Karsog, two in Kangra, one each in Naidun and Jogindernagar. However, 370 people have been rescued.
16 people are missing in Thunag of Seraj, 18 in Pakhrair, 7 in Jarol, 4 in Chiuni and one in Pandavashila. Six people have died in Syanj and Bada Parwada of Gohar subdivision while eight are missing. One person has died in Karsog subdivision. While two people are missing.

Due to cloudburst and landslide, roads have collapsed in Thunag and Janjheli subdivision. NDRF, SDRF and administration teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations in many areas.
More than 100 roads are still blocked in the state due to cloudburst and heavy rain-landslide on Monday night. According to Government figures, 154 houses, 106 cow shelters, 14 bridges have collapsed in Mandi.

31 vehicles have been damaged. 164 cattle have died. Hundreds of electricity transformers and drinking water schemes are stalled in the state. About 250 tourists stranded in Banjar valley of Kullu have been safely evacuated.
Meamwhile the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has again expressed concern about heavy rains in State. Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Shimla and Sirmaur districts today on 3 July, Also, the possibility of 'severe flood' has been expressed in the Beas river flowing in Mandi district, which is a signal for the local administration and people to remain alert.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that from July 2 to July 8, many parts of North India - Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Haryana and Chandigarh - will continue to receive rain. During this period, very heavy rain is expected in Himachal on July 5 and 7, which may lead to situations like landslides, road closures, power disruptions and rising water levels of rivers.
