New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump had a 35-minute-long telephonic conversation. This telephonic conversation was requested by Trump. During the conversation, PM Modi explicitly stated that India has never agreed to any third-party mediation and will never agree to it in the future, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Both leaders were to meet at the G7 summit, but Trump had to leave America early. The meeting could not be arranged at the G7 Summit; the talk took place over the phone.

Discussion about terrorism, Operation Sindoor, and global issues

Prime Minister Modi briefed Trump regarding the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22 and the Operation Sindoor undertaken as a reaction to the same. He briefed them that India attacked only the terrorists within Pakistan and made this operation before the entire world. Modi also made it clear that at that moment, no trade agreement was being discussed between India and America and no offer of mediation arose between India and Pakistan.

Stern message delivered to Pakistan

PM Modi stated that Pakistan was already informed that India will strike back at it with shells for its bullets. India responded strongly to Pakistan's attack on 9-10 May night and neutralized a large number of its military camps. Pakistan itself then asked to suspend military operations after that.

India turned down the offer of mediation

The Prime Minister said again that, as per the request of Pakistan, negotiations were conducted between the two nations' armies through available channels. India never agreed to mediation and will not agree to it in the future as well. Both all political parties in India share the same view on this matter.

Invitation from Trump turned down, Modi invites him to India

Donald Trump invited PM Modi to visit the US while returning from Canada, but Modi expressed his inability due to pre-scheduled programs. Instead, he invited Trump to the QUAD conference which would be organized in India towards the end of the year. Trump agreed to come and stated that he is looking forward to visiting India.

Other matters were also talked about

The two leaders, in the course of negotiations, touched on the Israel-Iran dispute, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and QUAD's role in the Indo-Pacific region and discussed how to strengthen mutual cooperation. Trump reaffirmed support for India's war on terrorism.
