New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, while outlining India's tough foreign policy in Parliament, made it clear that India is firm on its zero tolerance policy towards terrorism. He mentioned in detail the tough steps taken by India after the Pahalgam terror attack, which included the destruction of 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor.

Jaishankar stressed that India had received a ceasefire request directly from Pakistan and the decision was completely independent, with no role of any external pressure.

Jaishankar questions Congress on China

The Foreign Minister, citing international support, pointed out that only 3 out of 193 countries, including the United Nations Security Council, opposed Operation Sindoor.

The Quad countries (USA, Japan, and Australia), as well as China, Russia, Egypt, and Central Asian countries, had also strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack. Jaishankar criticized the opposition, saying that in 2005 the Congress government had declared China a "strong partner," while today the same China has become a threat to India. During the Doklam dispute, the opposition had talked to the Chinese ambassador instead of the government.

Home Minister slams the opposition

Home Minister Amit Shah attacked the opposition and said that the Congress trusts Pakistan, not the Foreign Minister. He criticized the UPA government for taking a soft stand after the Mumbai train blasts and 26/11 attacks.

Jaishankar, referring to Pakistan's economic plight, said that the IMF had given a loan to Pakistan in September 2024, which has asked for assistance 60-70 times so far. He described the FATF placing Pakistan on the gray list as India's diplomatic success.

This discussion made it clear that the Modi government is taking a firm stand against terrorism and will give a befitting reply to any terrorist incident in the future as well. Operation Sindoor has proved that India will not hesitate to target terrorists even by crossing the border, moving away from old policies.

The Indian takes the revenge

Security forces achieved a major success on Monday in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. A joint team of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF has killed three terrorists under 'Operation Mahadev.' According to security sources, the main conspirator of the Pahalgam terror attack, Hashim Musa, alias Shah Suleman, may also be among the killed terrorists, although its official confirmation is yet to be done. The army will soon give detailed information in this regard by holding a press conference.
