New Delhi: Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif has expressed concern that India may take military action after the Pahalgam attack. He said that the Pakistani army is fully alert and will use nuclear weapons only if the country's existence is threatened, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Pakistan's concern increased
Khwaja Asif said that the army has warned the government about a possible attack by India. Earlier, he had accused India of turning water into a weapon over the Indus Water Treaty.
Pahalgam attack incident
On April 22, terrorists opened fire on tourists in the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people. Since then, the whole country is demanding strict action against Pakistan. However, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has offered an impartial investigation.
India's tough action
India has taken several tough measures against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty, closing the Attari border and stopping visa services for Pakistani citizens. These actions have further increased tensions between the two countries.
