The company appealed to consumers to book LPG cylinders only when needed. According to IndianOil, "a small responsibility can make a big difference." If people avoid unnecessary bookings, timely gas supply can be ensured for everyone.
The ongoing conflict in West Asia and disruptions to global energy supplies have created an atmosphere of anxiety among the public. This has led to an increase in advance bookings for LPG in some areas. However, the government and oil companies are continuously monitoring the situation.
Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi also clarified that there is no serious problem with LPG. He stated that the government is making every effort to ensure that the global crisis does not impact the public and is also working on alternative measures.
The government stated that domestic LPG production has been increased by 36 percent in light of the current circumstances. Furthermore, the percentage of online bookings has increased from 84% to nearly 90%, making the distribution process more transparent and faster.
State governments have also been directed to strictly monitor hoarding and black marketing of LPG. Strict enforcement measures are being implemented to ensure consumers do not face any inconvenience.
Both Indian Oil and the government have appealed to consumers for cooperation. They say that if people exercise patience and book gas only as needed, supplies will remain smooth across the country and there will be no shortages.
