New Delhi: Despite India's continued efforts to curb terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is once again reactivating terrorist camps across the border.

According to intelligence sources, terrorist hideouts destroyed by India during Operation Sindoor in May 2025 are being rebuilt in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and surrounding areas.

These activities have once again raised concerns among security agencies, as they clearly indicate that the strategy of spreading terror from across the border is still ongoing.

New Technologically Advanced Small Camps

According to sources, these camps are now significantly smaller and more technologically advanced than before. They are designed to evade drone surveillance or air force strikes. These new camps are housing less than 100 terrorists so that the destruction of any one facility does not cause significant damage.

It is reported that the camps that were previously dismantled in areas like Luni, Putwal, Tipu Post, Jamil Post, Umranwali, Chaprar Forward, Chhota Chak, and Janglora have now been re-established. This time, the training infrastructure has been dispersed, making it difficult for security agencies to completely eliminate them.

Active Role of Terrorist Organizations

The major terrorist organizations active in these camps are:

  • Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
  • Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
  • Hizbul Mujahideen (HM)
  • The Resistance Front (TRF).

These organizations aim to infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir and attack Indian security forces.

Intelligence sources say that these activities have the full support of the Pakistani Army, ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence), and the government, which proves that Islamabad is using terrorism as a state policy.

Surveillance by Indian Security Agencies

BSF IG Shashank Anand stated that after Operation Sindoor, Indian security forces have intensified the use of modern technology. Now, every activity along the LoC is monitored with the help of drones, satellite monitoring, and artificial intelligence (AI).

He said, "Patrolling in mountainous terrain during winter is challenging, so we have adopted dynamic patrolling and adaptive strategies."

35 Years of Terrorism and Pakistan's Role

This entire situation is reminiscent of terrorism in Kashmir, which began in 1989 and has claimed thousands of lives over the past 35 years and severely damaged peace in the region.

Analysts say that Pakistan has provided training, weapons, financial support, and intelligence to these terrorist organizations for decades. This is why terrorist networks repeatedly resurface despite Indian military operations. It is clear that Pakistan has no genuine desire to end terrorism.

Instead, it is constantly trying to keep it alive by using new strategies and techniques. India's security agencies are now responding to this threat through cutting-edge technical surveillance and inter-agency coordination.

Nevertheless, this situation indicates that the threat of cross-border terrorism has not ended but is returning in a more complex form.
