Srinagar: The encounter between the security forces and the terrorists in Kulgam entered the 10th day today on Sunday. The forces have intensified the operation to nab terrorists hiding in the Akhal forest area, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
A security forces official said, “The operation is still in progress. Security forces are trying to close in on the positions of the hiding ultras.”
The official further said that the militants hiding in the jungle area of Kulgam are perhaps highly trained and therefore in the dense foliage they are evading air surveillance.
White Knight Corps of the Army took to the social media X and wrote that while carrying out an intelligence-based operation, the forces had established contact with terrorists in the early hours on Sunday and exchanged gunfire.
