So far, 275 people have died in the state, with most of the deaths caused by lightning, drowning, and accidents. After these incidents, the government is continuously asking people to stay away from rivers and drains. There is still a risk of more deaths due to the rain in many parts of the state.

Heavy rains and floods wreak havoc in Pakistan, 234 people died so far
So far, 275 people have died in the state. Out of these, 61 died due to lightning, 144 drowned in rivers, drains, and flooded areas, 57 died in road accidents, and 13 died due to walls and debris collapsing. In the last 24 hours, three people have died in the state. In Ashoknagar district, one person died from drowning in a well, and one each in Dewas and Sidhi.
In addition to deaths, heavy rains have also damaged cattle and houses. A large number of animals and homes have been affected. So far, 1,657 animals have died because of the heavy rains. A total of 293 houses have been completely damaged, and 3,687 houses have been partially damaged. Among the worst-affected districts, one house was fully damaged and one partially damaged in Gwalior. Dozens of houses were partially damaged in Jabalpur, Mandla, Mandsaur, Raisen, Rajgarh, Shahdol, and Umaria. Around 254 roads and bridges have also been damaged.

The administration has set up more than 20 relief camps to shelter people who have lost their homes and those living in danger zones.
In Mandla district, three camps have been set up, where 230 people are staying. Two camps have been set up in Guna, accommodating 170 people. In Khargone, 1384 people are living in 8 camps. In Damoh, 1590 people are in 5 camps. In addition, 30 people are staying in one camp in Rajgarh.
