Video Goes Viral at the Taj Mahal
New Delhi: The world heritage site, the Taj Mahal, is once again in the spotlight. A video is rapidly going viral on social media showing a young girl reciting the 'Shiva Tandava Stotram' inside the Taj Mahal.
After the video surfaced, people have been divided into two camps, some are connecting it to Indian culture and true history, while many others are saying that it is a violation of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) rules, as religious activities are prohibited at heritage sites.

The viral video has caused a stir among ASI officials. Questions are being raised regarding security and monitoring of rules within the Taj Mahal complex. The ASI has launched an investigation to determine when and how this video was shot. Officials say that no religious or political activity is permitted on the premises.
The young girl, Lakshmi, shared the video on Meta (Facebook) and stated that it was made in support of the Bollywood film "The Taj Story." She wrote that the film attempts to bring forth the true history of the Taj Mahal and that she believes the current Taj Mahal was actually "Tejo Mahalaya."

Lakshmi, mentioning her visit to the Taj Mahal on her birthday, appealed to people to watch the film and "understand the history of India."
Following the release of the video, Hindu organizations and religious leaders have voiced their support for the young girl, Lakshmi. Mahant Mohini Bihari Sharan Ji Maharaj and other saints called it the "beginning of the awakening of Sanatan culture."

They said that a minor girl has brought forth the true identity of the country. Meanwhile, some social activists said that while it is important to bring the truth of history to light, conducting any religious activity at a heritage site is against the rules.
This incident has not only become a subject of cultural debate but is also raising questions about the security and administrative responsibility of the Taj Mahal. Only after the ASI's investigation report is released will it be clear whether or not the rules were violated.
