Cabinet Expansion: Equal Representation from NDA Allies

A total of 32 legislators are being inducted into the cabinet today, with 16 ministers each from the BJP and JD(U), along with representatives from LJP (R) and HAM. Calls notifying prospective ministers of their swearing-in began early this morning, signaling the finalization of the expanded government team.

JD(U) Quota: A Mix of Veterans and Fresh Faces

The Janata Dal (United) quota includes both seasoned leaders and newcomers. Shweta Gupta is making her ministerial debut, while Damodar Rawat also joins the cabinet. Senior JD(U) figures from the previous Nitish Kumar government have largely been retained, ensuring continuity alongside fresh energy in the administration.

This cabinet reshuffle marks a significant phase in Bihar politics, reflecting both experience and renewal within the ruling NDA alliance.
