New Delhi: An attempt has been made by Pakistan to cyber attack India's defence institutions. According to initial information, a hackers group called Pakistan Cyber Force has targeted India's major defence institutions, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

In the past, there have been instances where autonomous institutes, including educational ones, were hacked and defaced. However, this time, the targets were far more critical:

  • Indian Military Engineering Service (part of the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army)
  • Armored Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) – a defence public sector unit
  • Manohar Parrikar Institute for Défense Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), formerly known as IDSA
  • Claim of stealing data of Indian Military Engineering Services
  • Earlier also Army Public Schools of Srinagar and Ranikhet were targeted

India's response

  • Firewalls of all defence institutions are being strengthened
  • Sensitive websites temporarily closed for security reasons
  • Efforts to further strengthen cyber security system

IDSA is India's leading defence think tank where serving and retired military officers research strategic issues. The attack on it is a matter of serious concern for national security. This nefarious attempt of Pakistan reflects its restlessness. Pakistan is taking such desperate steps due to the fear of strong retaliation from India after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Russian President to Visit India After Pahalgam Attack Backing

Big news has come out after the phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin has accepted the invitation to visit India, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Key points:

  • Putin strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and gave full support to India
  • Both leaders agreed to further strengthen the strategic partnership
  • Visit may take place in September-October for the annual summit

Putin clarified that "the culprits of the attack and their supporters should get severe punishment." This statement is a big relief for India in the tense atmosphere created after the Pahalgam attack.

Preparations for the visit:

  • Preparations were already underway for the annual summit
  • Exact date (possible September-October) not yet decided
  • Défense and trade agreements will be discussed

With this conversation, there has been a new warmth in India-Russia relations, while Pakistan seems to be isolated at the international level.

At this crucial juncture, Russia has also inked a 250 crore defence deal with India. It is also not just this - Russia has also demanded a permanent position for India in the UN Security Council.
