A major train accident occurred on the Bihar-Jharkhand border on Saturday night, causing panic among railway authorities. Eight wagons of a goods train derailed suddenly at around 11:25 PM on the Jasidih-Jhajha main railway line. The accident took place near the bridge over the Badua River, near Telwa Bazar Halt, while the goods train was traveling from Jasidih towards Jhajha.
The severity of the accident can be gauged from the fact that three of the eight derailed wagons fell directly into the Badua River below the bridge.
