New Delhi: On December 17, the St. Thomas College Palai Alumni Association hosted a grand event at Kerala House in Delhi. The event was not only memorable for the college’s former students but also for the Kerala community residing in Delhi.
Ambassador Sibi George, Secretary (West) in India’s Ministry of External Affairs, attended the event as the chief guest. The highlight of the program was a carol performance by the youth team of St. Jude Church, Shahibabad, which mesmerized all attendees.
In his address, Ambassador Sibi George said that such alumni events connect him to his roots and educational institutions. He appreciated the quality of education at the college and emphasized that such events remind everyone that the contribution of education is not limited to personal development but plays an important role in societal and nation-building efforts.
He urged the former students and current students present to use their knowledge and experiences for the betterment of society and the progress of the nation.

During the event, George Kurian, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, honored Ambassador Sibi George with a special plaque and shawl.
Additionally, notable attendees including Prokevi Thomas, Justice Kurian Joseph, Jose K. Mani, Anto Antony, K. Francis George, KP Fabian, Rev. Dr. Mathew Koikkal, Satish Nambuthiripad, K. Raghunath, George Kallivayalil, Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, and George Kuruvila shared their thoughts and experiences.
