Mixed Conditions Across North India as Season Changes
New Delhi: On March 25, 2026, the weather in several major cities across the country is expected to remain clear and warm. In most parts of Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, the skies will be clear, or light clouds may be visible. Intense sunshine during the day will make the heat distinctly palpable. Although scattered clouds may offer some momentary relief in certain areas, the weather will generally remain warm. The Meteorological Department has not issued any warnings at this time, indicating that while the situation is currently normal, temperatures are on the rise.
In terms of temperature, Delhi is forecast to record a maximum of 34°C and a minimum of 17°C. Temperatures could reach 32°C in Noida, 30°C in Gurugram, and approximately 33°C in Agra. Meanwhile, in Lucknow and Kanpur, temperatures could also climb up to 34°C. Cities such as Prayagraj, Indore, and Ujjain are likely to see temperatures rise to 36°C, while in Bhopal, it is expected to hover around 35°C. This clearly indicates that temperatures in several cities have already crossed the 35°C mark.
The effects of the heat will be felt most intensely in cities across Madhya Pradesh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. In regions like Indore, Ujjain, and Prayagraj, the combination of scorching sunshine and rising temperatures could cause significant discomfort to residents. Bhopal will not be spared either, with temperatures there potentially reaching 35°C. While temperatures are also rising in Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra, the presence of light clouds may offer some minor relief.
Although the heat will be intense during the day, a mild coolness is expected to persist during the morning and night hours. This ensures that the weather does not feel entirely unbearable; however, venturing outdoors during the day—particularly in the afternoon—could prove challenging due to the heightened intensity of the sun.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures are likely to rise further in the days ahead. Temperatures in Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh could reach between 35°C and 37°C. Meanwhile, in certain cities across Madhya Pradesh, temperatures could hover close to 38°C. If these conditions persist, the heat could become quite intense as early as the beginning of April, raising the possibility of heatwave-like situations developing.
Given the rising heat, people are advised to exercise caution. One should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the day and ensure adequate water intake. Wear light-colored clothing and venture outdoors only when necessary.
The heat has already begun to intensify as March draws to a close. Indications suggest that temperatures will rise further in the coming days; therefore, it is essential to remain vigilant starting now.
