New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET Result 2026 for candidates who appeared in the examination held in June. The result, along with the final answer key, has been uploaded on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Candidates can now check and download their scorecards by using their application number and date of birth.

Over 1.47 Lakh Candidates Qualify

According to NTA data, a total of 24.31 per cent candidates qualified in the examination conducted across 84 subjects.

Out of the successful candidates:

• 4,241 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts
• 45,904 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor eligibility and PhD admission
• 97,434 candidates qualified for PhD admission

UGC NET Exam Held in June

The UGC NET 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026 across multiple examination centres.

The test is conducted to determine eligibility for teaching positions as Assistant Professors, Junior Research Fellowship and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.

How to Download UGC NET Scorecard 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to download their result:

1. Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
2. Click on the UGC NET Result 2026 or Scorecard link
3. Enter application number and date of birth
4. Submit the details
5. Download the scorecard PDF and take a printout for future reference

Final Answer Key Also Released

Along with the result, NTA has released the UGC NET final answer key 2026 on the official portal.

Candidates can download the answer key by visiting the website and selecting the final answer key link.

Merit List and Subject-Wise Details Available

NTA has also made provisions for candidates to check subject-wise merit details and qualifying information through the official website.

Candidates are advised to keep their scorecards safely as they may be required during further admission or recruitment processes.
