UPSC calendar 2027 released at upsc.gov.in; Check civil services, NDA, CDS exam dates and more

UPSC has released the 2027 exam calendar, with Civil Services Prelims scheduled for May 23 and Mains from August 20. The schedule also includes NDA, CDS, CAPF and Engineering exams.

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released its examination calendar for 2027, giving lakhs of aspirants clarity on important recruitment and competitive exam dates for the coming year.

According to the calendar, the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2027 will be conducted on May 23, 2027, while the Civil Services Main Examination will begin from August 20, 2027, and continue for five days.

Civil Services Notification to Be Released in January

UPSC will issue the official notification for the Civil Services Examination on January 13, 2027. Candidates will be able to submit applications till February 2, 2027.

The Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination, which is conducted through the Civil Services Preliminary exam, will also take place on May 23.

The Civil Services Examination remains one of India’s most competitive recruitment tests, conducted for prestigious services including IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS.

NDA, CDS and Engineering Exams Dates Announced

The UPSC calendar also includes important dates for several other examinations. The NDA & NA Examination (I) 2027 and CDS Examination (I) 2027 are scheduled for April 11, 2027.

Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2027 will be conducted on January 31, while the Engineering Services Main Examination is set for June 18, 2027.

The Combined Medical Services Examination will be held on July 18, and the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination is scheduled for July 4.

Indian Forest Service Main Exam in November

The Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2027 will begin on November 21 and continue for seven days. UPSC has also reserved multiple dates throughout the year for departmental and recruitment-related examinations.
