West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated all the successful students who passed the Class X examinations on Friday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Exam were conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, official sources said.
CM Mamata Banerjee said, 'Heartiest congratulations to every student, who cleared the Madhyamik examinations and extend good wishes to all for their future endeavours.'
'This was a memorable day for every successful candidate. She also greeted the parents and the teaching community to make their wards and pupils successful in their academic capability,' Banerjee said.
The president of the Ad-hoc committee, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), today announced the Madhyamik results at the office of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, Nivedita Bhavan, Salt Lake.
Over 86.5 per cent students passed class 10 this year.
Adrit Sarkar topped the WB Madhyamik 2025 exam by scoring 696 marks, followed by Anubhav Biswas and Soumya Pal with 694 marks in the second position, and Ishani Chakraborty in the third position with 693 marks.
The students who took their WBBSE class 10th board exams can download their results from the official website, wbbse.wb.gov.in soon.
The Madhyamik examinations were held between February 10 and February 22, 2025.
On Wednesday West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated all successful students, who had appeared in the ICSE and ISC examinations this year.
" Heartiest congratulations to every student who has cleared the ICSE and ISC examinations this year!," Banerjee said. She also wished for greater success in their future endeavours.
"On this memorable day of your life, I extend my heartfelt best wishes also to your parents/guardians and teachers.
"Their support and guidance have played an invaluable role in your success," she said and urged those, who faced setbacks in the examinations, not to be discouraged.
"To those who faced setbacks, I request: please do not be discouraged. I have full confidence about your future success.
" My blessings and best wishes will always be with all of you throughout your journey," Mamata said.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has declared the CISCE Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) results.
Last year, the Council had decided to discontinue announcing names of toppers to avoid "unhealthy competition" among the students.
