The Transport Department and Traffic Police will also install automatic number plate recognition cameras at all 126 border entry points along Delhi’s borders with neighboring states. Following the CAQM’s order, these implementing agencies will submit quarterly compliance reports.

New Delhi: In light of air pollution, all non-Delhi registered commercial goods vehicles, including light commercial vehicles (LGVs), medium goods vehicles (MGVs), and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), will be strictly prohibited from entering Delhi from November 1st if they are not BS-VI compliant.
Following the order of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), the Transport Department has clarified that all BS-VI commercial goods vehicles are permitted to enter Delhi until October 31, 2026, and are not prohibited. However, they will be restricted after that.
After that, only electric vehicles will be permitted in Delhi within these vehicle categories. The Transport Department has also clarified that the various phases of GRAP restrictions on commercial goods vehicles will remain in effect for the period during which that particular phase is in effect.
