The ruling Congress party and the government of Telangana on Thursday held a top-level meeting with the Congress leadership at the party headquarters at Indira Bhavan in New Delhi. The meeting lasted for more than two hours and reviewed the entire political situation and governance in the state. The Chief Minister, his entire Cabinet, and the PCC chief were present.

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, his deputy Bhatti Vikramarka, and the entire 15-member state Cabinet met the Congress leadership at the party headquarters, Indira Bhavan, today. State PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and AICC state in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan were also present at the meeting.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the party leadership was headed by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and AICC General Secretary in charge of party organisation K.C. Venugopal, who were present during the long meeting.
The Congress high command complimented the state leadership on the recent victory in the municipal elections. Congress won 88 of the 116 municipalities and five of the seven corporations. The Congress gave a crushing defeat to the BJP and the regional party BRS.
While reviewing the party functioning in the state, the high command suggested carrying all sections forward with special focus on weaker sections. They also suggested that the PCC strengthen the DCCs, for which new presidents were appointed.
Mallikarjun Kharge assured the state leadership that all nominated posts pending for a long time would be filled by March 15. Kharge said that the leadership will not accept any kind of dissident activity.
With regard to the implementation of the party manifesto and promises made during the elections, Chief Minister Reddy said that to a maximum extent, promises are being implemented despite the huge financial crisis and debt burden on the state. The party leadership conveyed Ramzan greetings to one and all in the state.
