Chennai: A horrific road accident occurred near Kummangudi in Tamil Nadu's Sivaganga district on Sunday evening. The accident occurred in the Tirupattur area, about five kilometers from Pillaiyarpatti.

A local police officer told, "At least 10 people were killed and 20 passengers were seriously injured. Locals and other passengers rushed to the spot and pulled many of the victims out of the debris." Many people, despite being injured, came forward to help.
