Birmingham: A big controversy has come to the fore during the second Test match being played between India and England at Edgbaston (Birmingham), which happened between Yashasvi Jaiswal and England captain Ben Stokes. This controversy is about DRS, i.e., the Decision Review System. reports Dynamite News correspondent.

What happened was that in the eighth over of India's second innings, an incoming ball from England bowler Josh Tongue hit Yashasvi Jaiswal's pad. England appealed for LBW, and the umpire gave him out. After this, Jaiswal signaled to take DRS, but he talked to his partner, KL Rahul, before taking the review, due to which some time had passed.

This is where the controversy started. England captain Ben Stokes said that when Jaiswal signaled for the review, the 15-second timer had expired. That is, there were "0" seconds left on the timer, yet the umpire allowed the review. Angered by this, Ben Stokes approached the umpire and expressed his displeasure. Pointing towards the screen, he said that the review time was over, so the review should not have been given.

There is a lot of discussion about this incident on social media as well, and some people have even shared screenshots in which zero seconds is visible on the timer. However, this is not the first time that such a controversy has happened regarding DRS. Earlier this happened with Rohit Sharma as well, and in an IPL match the timer was not shown on the screen.

The incident escalated tensions during the match, with players from both teams becoming visibly emotional and exchanging heated words. Yashasvi Jaiswal, however, responded calmly on the field, but Ben Stokes' reaction shows that the England team was not satisfied with this decision. This controversy is about whether the review was taken at the right time or not. Now everyone has their own opinion on this.
