However, it's surprising that Rishabh Pant hasn't been included in the Indian squad for this series. His performance against England was impressive, so fans are undoubtedly wondering why he isn't playing in this series.
Rishabh Pant was appointed vice-captain of Team India for the Test series against England. However, he suffered an injury during this series, meaning he won't be able to play against the West Indies. Ravindra Jadeja has been given the vice-captaincy.
Karun Nair has been dropped from the Test team. The England tour was not a good one for him. Devdutt Padikkal has been included in Team India's place for the Test series against the West Indies. Regarding this, Team India's chief selector Ajit Agarkar said, "We expected more from Karun Nair than just one innings. Padikkal may get more chances. We would like to give everyone 15-20 chances, but that's not possible in these circumstances."
Regarding Shreyas Iyer, Ajit Agarkar said, "Shreyas Iyer is a senior player and has also captained India A. We are trying to find leadership qualities in several players. Unfortunately, Shreyas will not be available due to his fitness. Above all, we want him to play and play well."
