Virat Kohli’s new white-bearded look sparks retirement speculation
Rahul Dravid, while talking to Ashish Kaushik in the 'Hal-Chaal Aur Sawaal' podcast, said, "Gavaskar was a very balanced player. I always used to watch him bat. My height was a little more than him, so I never copied his batting. Sachin Tendulkar was also a very balanced batsman. Short stature players have some advantage in batting. There have been many strong batsmen over the years who were short in stature. You look at Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Ricky Ponting, Sir Don Bradman was also short in stature. Virat Kohli is also short in stature. I know Kohli will not like the fact that I called him short."
Rahul Dravid further said, "But today's game is changing very fast and players have to play big shots constantly. Tall players have the advantage that they can easily hit sixes on any ball. Physics also tells this. You can see players like Kevin Pietersen, Kieron Pollard, especially in T20 cricket."
