Delhi: Tihar DG Sandeep Goyal Transferred, Sanjay Beniwal Appointed New DG

It is alleged that under the nose of Sandeep Goel, super conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar was enjoying a luxurious life in Tihar Jail. Read on for details:

Delhi: Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Friday ordered transfer of Tihar DG Sandeep Goyal. He has been attached to police headquarters. Special CP Sanjay Beniwal will replace Goyal as the new DG of Tihar. 

It is alleged that under the nose of Sandeep Goel, super conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar was enjoying a luxurious life in Tihar Jail. It is further alleged that Sukesh had engaged the entire jail staff including jailer by paying Rs.1 crore a month.

Around 80 officials of Tihar Jail are said to be under investigation regarding these allegations.
