Mumbai/ 09 Jan. The multitalented Farhan Akhtar turns 42 today. Farhan Akhtar is an all-rounder in the industry. He is a director, screenwriter, producer, actor and a playback singer. He is undoubtedly one of the inspiring and brilliant person in the film industry. He also owns a production company named Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani.

After working as an assistant director for several films, Farhan ventured in the industry as a complete director in 2001 with the film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ won a National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. With further hits like Lakshya, Don, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Farhan established himself as one of the successful directors in the industry. Well, directing films in not the only talent Farhan has.

Farhan started his Bollywood acting career with the movie "Rock On" in 2008, which was also co-produced by him. He won a national award for the film as a producer. Farhan sung most of the songs in the film, and almost all of them became chartbusters.

Farhan Akhtar gave an incredible performance as Milkha Singh in the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and won many awards for his performance. The film also won a National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Farhan recently appeared in Bejoy Nambiar’s action thriller ‘Wazir’ along with Amitabh Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari.

He is been admired for voicing his opinions on social issues. Farhan launched a social campaign MARD: Men Against Rape and Discrimination to curb the injustice and violence done on women. There is indeed a lot to learn from Farhan Akhtar on how to explore and succeed in almost all everything.
