In a surprise move Swati Singh appointed as UP BJP women wing President

Lucknow/ 7 October 2016. Swati Singh, wife of expelled Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice-President Dayashankar Singh, has been appointed as the President of UP BJP women's wing.

Dayashankar Singh was expelled by the BJP for derogatory remarks against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati.

Following huge criticism from all quarters, the BJP had then sacked him from all party posts.

But finally BJP has compensated the expulsion of former BJP leader Dayashankar Singh by appointing his wife Swati Singh.  

Although earlier Swati Singh had claimed that she is not associated with BJP but now she has taken a U-turn.
