India-Russia hold delegation level talks

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday led the Indian delegation at the 23rd meeting of India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission (IRIGC-TEC) to discuss the expansion of Russia-India relationship across all sectors.

Moscow: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday led the Indian delegation at the 23rd meeting of India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission (IRIGC-TEC) to discuss the expansion of Russia-India relationship across all sectors.

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar took to Twitter to brief about the meeting which will be chaired by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. "Meeting begins to expand our relationship across all sectors & identify new opportunities! EAM @SushmaSwaraj & Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov chairing the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological & Cultural Cooperation," he wrote.

Informing that Swaraj was received by Borisov, Kumar further wrote, "Indian delegation led by Minister of External Affairs H.E Sushma Swaraj meeting with the Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation H.E Yury Borisov at the 23rd meeting of India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission. External Affairs Minister of India H.E Sushma Swaraj is received by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation H.E Yury Borisov at the 23rd meeting of IRIGC-TEC."

Earlier, Swaraj met with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow and held talks on bilateral and regional issues on Thursday. Swaraj also said that she is looking forward to Putin's visit to India on October 4, which would further elevate India-Russia relations to the highest level. (ANI)
