New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended Mahashivratri greetings to the people.

"On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, I extend good wishes to everyone," he tweeted.

Prime Minister has also tweeted about his stay in Ahmedabad on Monday and Tuesday.

"4th March 2019- a historic day for the wonderful people of Ahmedabad. Phase-1 of the Ahmedabad Metro is going to be inaugurated. This project will further ‘Ease of Living’ for the people of Ahmedabad," he wrote in the micro blogging site.

During the visit to his home state, the Prime Minister will dedicate, inaugurate and lay foundation stones of series of development projects. 

Besides inaugurating the first phase of the Metro Rail Project in Ahmedabad, he will also lay the foundation stone of Phase-2 of the Metro. 

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to nation various hospitals built in Ahmedabad region.  They are Women Children & Super Specialty Hospital, Cancer Hospital, Eye Hospital and Dental Hospital. These hospitals will be a tremendous boost to the health care sector in Ahmedabad. 

He will also distribute Golden Cards to select beneficiaries of PM-JAY- Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The Prime Minister will also will also flag off Bandra- Jamnagar Humsafar Express through video link, official sources said.

On the second day of his visit on Tuesday, Prime Minister will visit the Annapurna Dham Trust at Adalaj in Gandhinagar district. He will lay the Foundation Stone of Shikshan and Vidhyarthi Bhavan and also address the gathering, sources said. (UNI)
