Patna: Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has lambasted at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a double murder case in Arrah. Tejashwi alleged that this double murder was committed by "criminals protected by those in power."
Yadav took to social media X and said that ruling NDA candidates are "carrying out plenty of bloodshed" in Bihar just ahead of the Assembly Polls. Hitting out at Prime Minister Modi, Tejashwi asked the Prime Minister to mention "jungle raj" in his speech.

A brutal double murder in Arrah caused a sensation across Bihar. A father and son were shot dead on Friday morning in Ara. The incident occurred near Belghat village in the Mufussil police station area. Both father and son ran a sweet shop and had left home the previous evening to shop for an engagement ceremony. The bodies of a father and son were found on the roadside.
The deceased, Pramod Mahato, ran a sweet shop. On Thursday evening, he and his son, Priyanshu, went shopping for an engagement ceremony but did not return home until late at night. On Friday morning, villagers discovered their bodies lying on the roadside near Belghat village, causing panic in the area.
As Soon As the Police received the information, a team from the Mufussil police station was rushed at the spot. The bodies of father and sonwere taking into custody, and were sent for post-mortem.
Primary investigations revealed that both were shot and killed. Police also recovered some empty cartridges from the scene.
The deceased, Pramod Mahato, was a popular figure in the area. His son, Priyanshu, helped him in the shop. The motive behind the murder is not yet known. Further investigation from every angle is underway.
