Student, associates arrested for thrashing teacher

A college student along with three of his associates has been arrested for allegedly thrashing a teacher at Kandhla town in Shamli district.

Muzaffarnagar: A college student along with three of his associates has been arrested for allegedly thrashing a teacher at Kandhla town in Shamli district, police said Tuesday. 

Tanvir along with his associates barged into the classroom and assaulted the teacher on Monday, SHO Sunil Dutt said.

An FIR was registered against the four on a complaint by college principal Udeybir Singh. All the accused were arrested, he said. 

Tanvir has also been expelled from the college, Dutt added. (PTI)
