Chhath Mahaparva 2025 Observed in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: On the third day of Chhath Mahaparva, the evening of Arghya day, the Adarsh UP Samaj performed the ritual at the Geeta Krishi Kendra in Pannimadai village, 15 km from Coimbatore.
Adarsh Uttar Pradesh Samaj President Raj Kumar Shahani welcomed everyone. Vice President Anish Kumar said this day is considered the most sacred for devotees and fasting people, as the tradition of offering Arghya to the setting sun is observed this evening.
The third day of Chhath Mahaparva, the evening Arghya day, is considered very important. On this day, fasting women observe a waterless fast for the entire day and pray to Sun God and Chhathi Maiya for the happiness and prosperity of their family, long life of their children, and happiness in life.
According to the Panchang, the best time to offer water to the setting sun today was 5:40 pm. Offering water to the Sun God at this time gives special virtuous results.
During this time, there was a crowd of devotees at the Coimbatore Pannimadai Ghats, and the entire atmosphere resonated with devotional songs.
