Lucknow: Politics has been heated over the merger of rural schools in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has termed the move of the Yogi government as an 'attack on the right to education'.

Akhilesh Yadav has made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party in a long post on the social media platform 'X' (Formerly Twitter). He said that closing schools in villages is a well-planned conspiracy, which aims to make the next generation illiterate and make its power permanent.

"Away from education, closer to power?"

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, Akhilesh Yadav wrote, "Education is the biggest criterion of development. The BJP government is constantly ignoring education and teachers. It seems clear that their aim is to deprive the coming generations. The one who is educated is positive and tolerant, and such people never accept BJP's hate and negative politics."

He alleged that the government is deliberately closing schools in such areas where the population of poor, backward, Dalit and minority is more. This is a conspiracy to deprive 'PDA' even more. The SP chief said that the BJP needs a crowd of illiterates who clap, beat the plate and trust each of their decisions blindly.

"Many of our companions were suggesting that the place that has been made, what should be its name, it will be known as" PDA Bhavan ", because the unity of PDA will give us power."

"When there are no schools, there will be no inspiration for education"

Questioning the government's arguments, Akhilesh said, "The government says that a booth can be made for a voter, so why can't school run for 30 children?" He taunted and said that when there are no schools around, the inspiration of education will also end. "What goes away from the eye, it also gets away from the brain."

BJP's attack on 'anti -education thinking'

The SP president claimed that the BJP does not want people to be educated, because the educated person raises voice against exploitation. He said, "Education brings confidence and this confidence is the biggest weapon against BJP's dominance. So there will be no school, no protest will be done."

Akhilesh also said that when the government schools are closed, the BJP will spread its ideology in villages through private institutions and alleged 'Seva Bhagya' organizations. He said, "If RSS institutions do teaching work instead of schools, then there will be work to impose ideology in the name of education."

'Essential steps to improve education'

At the same time, the government says that this decision has been taken to rationalize educational resources. According to sources, small schools are being merged into large schools to overcome the problems of low admissions, shortage of teachers and infrastructure. The state government claims that this will improve the quality of education.
