SP MLAs protest against Yogi Government over Codeine syrup case; Watch video

Lucknow: On the second day of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly in Lucknow, Samajwadi Party (SP) MLAs staged a strong and unique protest against the Yogi government. Before the start of the house proceedings, SP MLA Atul Pradhan arrived at the assembly premises carrying posters and hoardings, intensifying the political activity.

Questioning the Government Through Posters

One of the hoardings carried by Atul Pradhan featured a picture of cough syrup (codeine syrup) and a large photo of Constable Alok Singh's house. Through this poster, he questioned when the government would take action in this case, similar to the bulldozer action it takes against those involved in illegal activities.

The SP MLA also carried a picture of a Land Cruiser vehicle, with the caption asking when the vehicle belonging to the mafia would be seized. Through this poster, he directly attacked former MP Dhananjay Singh and accused the government of protecting him.
