Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal has drawn attention after being seen wearing an experimental head-mounted device called “Temple.” The device tracks blood flow to the brain in real time and is based on research linking gravity and ageing to reduced cerebral circulation.
New Delhi: Recently, Deepinder Goyal has been in the news for a unique and highly-discussed scientific experiment. Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal was spotted wearing a unique device called Temple. This device is worn on the head and tracks blood flow to the brain in real time.
The idea behind this device is linked to gravity, aging, and neuroscience. One hypothesis suggests that as we age, the effects of gravity may gradually reduce blood flow to the brain. The Temple device attempts to scientifically understand this theory.
Currently, this device is not available for sale in the market. It is being used solely for research and experimental purposes. Notably, Deepinder Goyal has invested approximately ₹25 crore (approximately $250 million) in this project. No commercial benefits have been reported from the company or the device.
Experts believe that if successful, this technology could revolutionize the future understanding of the brain, aging, and neurological health. This initiative could open a new direction in science and health.
