Mahindra has introduced the exclusive BE 6 Formula E Edition, limiting its production to just 999 units. The company has announced the prices for the FE2 and FE3 variants and confirmed that official bookings will begin on 14 January 2026, with deliveries scheduled from 14 February 2026.
Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition Unveiled
New Delhi: Mahindra has taken a major step into the Indian electric vehicle market by introducing the Formula E Edition of the BE 6. This edition is unique, as its production is limited to just 999 units. The company has also revealed the prices of its two variants, the FE2 and FE3, making it an attractive premium option in the electric SUV segment. The limited edition tag and sporty identity have created buzz even before its market launch.
The company has priced the FE2 variant of the BE 6 Formula E Edition at ₹23.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and the more feature-rich FE3 variant at ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra has initiated a pre-selection process for this model, allowing customers to choose their preferred variant and configuration. Official bookings will begin on January 14, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin on February 14, 2026. Although the company has not yet announced the booking amount or refund policy, due to the limited number of units, it is expected that this model will be booked soon after launch.
The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition's design reflects motorsport styling. Its body features graphics inspired by the Formula E paddock, giving it a sporty and aggressive road appearance. FIA-related references on the bonnet, fenders, and side panels give it a premium race-car feel. Large R20 alloy wheels, signature DRLs, LED projector headlamps, and a fixed glass roof further enhance its styling. The Mahindra BE 6's appearance distinguishes it from traditional electric SUVs.
Mahindra has not made any mechanical changes to this edition. It uses the same 210 kW electric motor that produces 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The SUV's 79 kWh battery pack supports 180 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes. Features like adaptive suspension, boost mode, multi-step regenerative braking, and a variable-ratio steering system provide a comfortable and sporty driving experience both in the city and on the highway.
On the inside, Mahindra has equipped the BE 6 with a modern and motorsport-themed cabin. This includes a dual 12.3-inch display setup, a Dolby Atmos sound system, wireless smartphone connectivity, Alexa support, and built-in OTT apps. The FE3 variant features Formula E-themed animations, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. A frunk space is also available at the front, equipped with lighting and a drainage system.
The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is highly equipped with safety features. Features include Level-2 ADAS, six airbags, a brake-by-wire system, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, and all-wheel disc brakes. These features make driving safer and firmly establish it in the premium SUV category.
