Porsche Carrera GT-Based JC9 Debuts With V10 Power (Img: Internet)
New Delhi: A stunning new one-off supercar called the JC9 has officially made its debut, combining the legendary engineering of the Porsche Carrera GT with an all-new design inspired by classic Le Mans race cars. The bespoke machine has been created by renowned automotive designer Jason Castriota in collaboration with Miller Motorcars for a private collector.
The JC9 is based on the iconic Porsche Carrera GT, but its appearance has been completely redesigned to give it a more timeless and motorsport-inspired identity.
One of the biggest highlights of the JC9 is that it continues to use the naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V10 engine from the original Porsche Carrera GT. The engine remains paired with the six-speed manual gearbox, preserving the raw and engaging driving experience that made the Carrera GT one of the most respected supercars ever built.
The V10 engine produces around 612 hp and is widely known for its thrilling exhaust note, razor-sharp throttle response and high-revving performance.
The design of the JC9 draws heavy inspiration from endurance racing cars of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Its sleek bodywork, long-tail rear section and flowing curves instantly remind enthusiasts of legendary race cars such as the Porsche 917K.
Unlike many modern hypercars that feature aggressive styling and complex aerodynamic elements, the JC9 adopts a cleaner and more elegant design philosophy. The entire body has been crafted from lightweight carbon fibre, helping reduce weight while giving the car a completely unique identity.

According to reports, the “JC9” name represents Jason Castriota’s ninth automotive project. The car is not planned for production and will remain a one-off creation, making it an extremely exclusive collector’s machine.
The project also highlights the continued relevance of coachbuilt supercars in today’s automotive world, offering enthusiasts something more personal and distinctive than mainstream limited-edition hypercars.
