New Delhi: Following the implementation of the new GST 2.0 slab across the country, many companies have reduced the prices of their cars. Customers looking to purchase entry-level vehicles have benefited the most from this change. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Renault, and Tata Motors have announced significant price discounts on their popular models.
Until now, the Maruti Alto held the title of the cheapest car, but that has now changed. The new ex-showroom price of the Maruti S-Presso has been reduced to ₹3.49 lakh. The new price of the Maruti Alto K10 is ₹3.69 lakh, making the S-Presso the most affordable car in India.
The Alto K10 STD (O) variant was previously priced at ₹4.23 lakh, which has now been reduced to ₹3.69 lakh. This means customers are saving up to ₹53,100.
The price of the Renault Kwid 1.0 RXE variant has also been reduced. Originally priced at ₹4.69 lakh, it has now been reduced to ₹4.29 lakh, representing a benefit of approximately ₹40,000.
Prices of the Tata Tiago and Nexon have also been reduced. The price of the Tata Tiago XE variant has been reduced from ₹4.99 lakh to ₹4.57 lakh, resulting in a savings of approximately ₹42,500.

The price of Tata's popular SUV, the Nexon, has also been significantly reduced. Its starting price has been reduced by ₹1.55 lakh to ₹7.31 lakh. The company is also offering additional benefits.
With the implementation of the new GST slab, car companies have reduced prices on entry-level to mid-range cars.
