Bihar: A new rule for making birth certificate has come again in Bihar. After one year of the birth of the child, now permission will have to be taken from the SDM to make his birth certificate.

Let us tell you that earlier the work was done after taking permission from the BDO. But, now permission will have to be taken from the SDM. According to the information, in the urban area, the assistant or block statistical officer has been made the registrar for birth-death certificate.

Let us tell you that this decision has been taken to ensure that there is no error in the certificate.

Patna DM gave order
Apart from urban areas, if we talk about rural areas, here the Panchayat Secretary will make the certificate. Regarding this order, Patna DM Dr. Tyagarajan SM has issued a letter to all the registrars and SDMs. It has been ordered through the letter that, now to get a birth or death certificate made within 21 days, an application will have to be given to the Assistant and Block Statistical Officer cum Registrar in urban areas and Panchayat Secretary in rural areas. If we talk about death certificate after 30 days, post-mortem report, copy of FIR, court order will be required.

On the other hand, if we talk about birth certificate, then hospital or doctor's report, register of maid, school certificate, PAN, Aadhar, DL, passport, service book will be required for this. In rural areas, for certificates of more than one month of birth, the Block Statistical Officer will have to take the order of SDM, while in the city, for certificates of more than one year, the order of SDM will have to be taken. Let us tell you that the number of people making such certificates is continuously increasing, in such a situation a very important decision has been taken.
