Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha from Bihar, marking a significant political development ahead of the upcoming biennial elections to the Upper House of Parliament.

Several senior leaders and dignitaries were present during the filing of the nomination papers, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who attended the event to show support for the senior leader of the Janata Dal (United).

The nomination process took place at the state legislature complex in Patna, where party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers.
